To celebrate their weight hitting double digits (or possibly because driving to the doctor's office made me realize that I was going INSANE in our apartment) I took Dane's parents and both babies to the beach yesterday evening. This caused me to realize several things:
1) I can still drive! I hadn't done it for 6 months, but it turns out I didn't forget how. I even managed Friday evening rush hour on the 101.
2) You can breast feed a baby in the driver's seat of a Honda Civic hybrid while someone else bottle feeds a baby in the narrow space left in the back seat between two car seats. I wouldn't recommend it, but I'll probably do it again.
3) Two babies screaming inside a Honda Civic hybrid is REALLY LOUD.
4) Baby Bjorns are a fantastic invention.
5) I LOVE BEING OUTSIDE!

Ahhh...you all are so cute! Glad to hear that everyone is healthy and happy :-)

Was that while driving in the aforementioned Friday evening rush hour?
James -- Definitely not. :-)
Though, I saw a news clip a while back where a woman was arrested for child endangerment after being caught breast feeding while driving in Cleveland. She was completely unapologetic. Also, headed for a very long stay in jail.
On another note, I see you were only personally feeding one at a time, possibly due to driver seat restrictions. Have you tried the double simultaneous feeding, or would that leave you feeling like an empty Hi-C juicebox?
I've tandem nursed them several times, but I haven't started doing it regularly yet. It's getting easier, but it still takes a lot of room and it's a fairly . . . intense experience. After I go back to work I'll probably be doing it twice day. Wish me luck!
