Rocket Girl, like the Universe itself, continues to expand.
It's getting harder for her, I think, due to both physical and mental strain. She went into work twice this week, and while four or five hours at a desk wouldn't be hard for most people, it put quite a stain on Dr. Sizemore. This was noticed by the OB/GYN this week, who again started to be concerned about pre-term labor. Hanna dutifully cut back on her already limited activity, and has spent almost all of her time since the appointment laying down in some form. It's frustrating for her, I think; despite my best attempts to entertain her, she's becoming a bit bored.
Despite her increasing lack of mobility and energy, however, we have managed to get a few more errands run this week. We've toured the daycare center at NASA, which seems staffed with friendly people running a great facility; it remains to be seen, however, how soon we could enroll the twins, to say nothing of how we might pay for it. One of the problems we're still looking at is the enormous expense of child care. It is an unfortunate necessity, however; in order for us to afford our expenses, Hanna and I both need to be working.
In order to get some help confronting this and the many other challenges that will surely come up in the next few years, we've also looked at twin support groups such as Gemini Crickets. We attended one of their general meetings this week, and found them to be a friendly bunch. True to Silicon Valley, many of the parents there had T-shirts bearing the logos of various tech firms; TiVo, Facebook, Apple. Their annual dues aren't much, and I think it will be well worth it to have the advice and support of people who have experience bringing up twins, to say nothing of their clothing and equipment sales.

I don't know how people find the money to pay for childcare! It is outrageous, especially for infants. We might have to bite the bullet for next year. I hope that you can swing it so that you can have the kiddos home for some days during the week to help out. Keep up the good work at making happy healthy twins.
